The Pet Rescue Center

This is our first ‘featured’ article and after much deliberation we wanted to honour The Pet Rescue Center as the first of many featured articles.

The mission statement of The Pet Rescue Center says a lot about their ethics and aims and makes it clear why they are our first choice for a featured article. Their goal is to work with the communities of California, shelters, veterinarians and animal rescue groups to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation through education, spay/neuter and rescue programs. In addition to this life saving work, The Pet Rescue Center allocates financial grants, to provide critical or lifesaving treatments for pets with special needs.

As with all animal rescue centres, The Pet Rescue Center are always looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand. There are so many areas that organisations such as this can benefits from your time and skills, from donations and dog walkers, to web designs and promotions.

    fundraising and awareness raising events and offer support in the community with programs such as providing education and resource support for pet care (nutritional & behavioural issues), children and pet safety outreach and pet therapy.

A Few of The Pet Rescue Center’s Programs

RESCUE PROGRAM - We network with other vets, shelters, rescue groups and the community throughout all of California, to rescue dogs and cats from situations that without our intervention would result in the unnecessary euthanasia of that dog or cat.  We personally tour and search out shelters that euthanize due to over crowding, these dogs and cats sometimes have merely 4 days to find a family before their time is up [....Read More]
COMMUNITY PROGRAM - We go out into the  community for scheduled speaking engagements at clubhouses, parents club meetings, Girl & Boy Scout meetings, senior centers and schools, we provide educational materials, visual display and a meet our rescues at our PRC events we attend.
